The Impact of Trauma

How difficult experiences affect family relationships and ways of responding today.

How Jazmine Works Here

Family therapy with Jazmine is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based. That means noticing the ways your family already connects, alongside the conversations that are hard to have. Family systems work looks at how family members affect one another; narrative work considers the stories and roles that have become familiar within the family.

Her systemic and decolonizing approach considers culture, identity, relationships, and the environments around your family. This work is LGBTQIA+-affirming. Solution-focused work makes room to discuss how you would like to relate and what already supports that. Jazmine's focus is understanding people in context, not asking one family member to carry responsibility for everything that happens between you.

What Can Shift

  • Space to understand communication patterns and hear perspectives that get lost in familiar disagreements.

  • Room to talk about transitions and the impact of trauma on your relationships now.

  • Space to consider healthier ways of relating while staying connected across different experiences and viewpoints.
