Culture and Context Belong Here
Therapy for BIPOC Women
Therapy can make room for cultural context, expectations, complex trauma, and burnout without asking you to separate those experiences from who you are.

What This Can Feel Like
- You want to feel seen without explaining every part of yourself.
- You carry expectations that leave little room for your own needs.
- Burnout and difficult experiences feel connected.
- You are thinking about who you were and who you are now.
How We Work With It
Who you were and who you are can both have room.
Jazmine’s own words on About speak to collective healing and spaces where people do not have to choose between who they were and who they are. Her warm, collaborative work gives room to consider culture and identity alongside feelings and relationships. A strengths-based approach notices what you bring, including the understanding you already have of your experience. You do not need to make that experience fit a tidy explanation before bringing it into therapy.
Her systemic and decolonizing approach considers family, relationships, culture, and environment rather than treating every concern as separate from that context. The conversation can include complex trauma, burnout, stress, identity development, and the expectations you carry. Care is LGBTQIA+-affirming. Narrative therapy looks at the stories you have learned about yourself; attachment-based work considers experiences of connection. You and Jazmine set the pace together, with attention to what you want to understand now.
Room for What You Bring
Individual therapy offers space to discuss concerns that overlap. You might want to talk about difficult experiences and burnout, or identity and relationships, in the same conversation. Collective healing recognizes that understanding yourself can include the people and connections around you, not only what happens within you.
