Your Identity Belongs in the Conversation

LGBTQIA+-Affirming Therapy

Affirming care is the baseline in Jazmine’s individual, couples, family, and teen work. Your identity, relationships, and family context belong in the conversation from the beginning.

What This Can Feel Like

  • You want your identity to be understood, not set aside.
  • You are thinking about coming out at your own pace.
  • Relationships bring questions about belonging and connection.
  • Family expectations affect what feels possible to say.

How We Work With It

Affirming care is not an add-on.

Jazmine’s care is LGBTQIA+-affirming across all four services. It is not an extra part of therapy that you need to request. Her warm, collaborative approach gives room to bring your full self without pressure to have everything figured out. Strengths-based work pays attention to what you already know about yourself, what matters to you, and the connections you want to understand. Questions about identity or coming out can be discussed at a pace set together.

Her systemic and decolonizing approach considers relationships, family, culture, and environment. Identity does not happen apart from the people and expectations around you. Individual and teen work can include identity development and emotional awareness; couples work includes attachment, intimacy, and exploring sexuality. Family therapy makes room for relationships with teen or adult children. Across those conversations, the focus is understanding your experience in context rather than asking you to leave it out.

Room for What You Bring

You do not need a finished answer about identity before asking about therapy. The service you choose depends on whether you want support individually, with a partner, or as a family. The consultation is a chance to describe what you want and ask about working together.

What Can Shift

  • Space to talk about identity without simplifying who you are.
  • Room to consider coming out at a pace that is your own.
  • Space to discuss connection and family context together.
