Room Beyond Getting Through It

Stress and Overwhelm

When you are carrying too much, living on autopilot, or finding that rest never feels like rest, therapy offers room to talk about the pressure and what you need.

What This Can Feel Like

  • You keep going because there is always something else to do.
  • Rest feels like another thing you should get right.
  • Your days pass on autopilot.
  • You have little room to notice your own needs.

How We Work With It

Rest does not need to become another demand.

Jazmine starts with what you are carrying, not another list of things to do. Her warm, collaborative work gives room to name stress and the feelings underneath it. A strengths-based approach notices what already supports you without asking you to keep pushing through. Boundaries, rest, and connection can be part of the conversation rather than more demands to manage. You and Jazmine decide together what deserves attention.

Her systemic and decolonizing approach looks at relationships, family, culture, and environment alongside your individual experience. Expectations can affect how much room you have for yourself, and those expectations belong in the discussion. Care is LGBTQIA+-affirming. Solution-focused work considers what you want to be different and what already helps. CBT looks at how thoughts, feelings, and actions connect, with attention to the circumstances around them.

Room for What You Bring

Stress and anxiety can overlap, but you do not need to decide on a label before beginning. You can talk about overwhelm, burnout, or feeling disconnected. The Anxiety and Burnout page offers another way to read about this part of Jazmine’s work.

What Can Shift

  • Space to notice what sits underneath the overwhelm.
  • Room to consider boundaries in the context of your relationships.
  • Space to talk about rest without turning it into another task.
