A Place to Name What You Feel

Depression

Low mood, numbness, or losing interest can leave you feeling far from yourself. Individual and teen therapy offer room to talk without performing being fine.

What This Can Feel Like

  • You feel low, even when you cannot explain why.
  • Things you used to enjoy feel distant.
  • You keep saying you are fine when you feel numb.
  • It is hard to feel connected to yourself.

How We Work With It

You do not have to perform being fine.

Depression does not need to have a neat explanation before you can talk about it. Jazmine works warmly and collaboratively, making room for low mood, numbness, and the feelings that are difficult to name. A strengths-based approach pays attention to what already matters to you as well as what feels distant. You do not need to make your experience sound more serious, or less serious, to bring it into the conversation.

Her systemic and decolonizing approach considers your relationships, family, culture, and environment. Rather than asking you to treat every feeling as a problem to solve on your own, the work includes the context around it. Care is LGBTQIA+-affirming. CBT looks at connections between thoughts, feelings, and actions; narrative therapy makes room for the stories you have learned about yourself. You and Jazmine set the pace together.

Room for What You Bring

Low mood can sit alongside anxiety, stress, or difficult experiences. There is room to discuss those connections without deciding which feeling should come first. Individual therapy supports adults; teen therapy makes room for emotional awareness, relationships, and a stronger sense of self.

What Can Shift

  • Space to name low mood or numbness without minimizing it.
  • Room to consider what feeling connected to yourself could mean.
  • Space to talk about needs and relationships when words are hard to find.
