Feeling Like Yourself Again

Starting Over After a Big Life Change

A big change can leave familiar routines feeling unfamiliar. You may have chosen the change and still miss parts of what came before. Starting over does not require pretending the past no longer matters. You can make room for relief, uncertainty, sadness, and curiosity without deciding which feeling is the correct one to have.

What Changed May Be Hard to Name

You might describe a change in relationships, responsibilities, or how you spend your days. Some differences are practical, while others concern belonging or the way you understand yourself. You can talk about what feels missing without needing a complete explanation. The visible change may be only one part of what you want someone to hear.

You Do Not Have to Rush a New Story

People may ask what comes next before you know how to answer. You can leave parts of that answer open. Having a decision to make does not mean you must feel certain about every choice. You may want to slow down enough to separate your own wishes from the expectations around you, including expectations you once shared.

Connection May Look Different Now

You might want familiar company while also needing room to think. Existing relationships can feel different when your circumstances change. You can talk about what support means to you rather than assuming others already know. Reconnecting does not require returning to exactly how things were, and wanting different boundaries does not erase the importance of those connections.

Bring the Unfinished Parts

Individual therapy with Jazmine can include life transitions, identity, stress, and relationship concerns. Her warm, collaborative approach leaves room to discuss yourself in context. You can begin with what feels unsettled today rather than preparing a complete account of the change. The conversation can include both what you are leaving and what you are not yet ready to name.

If You Want to Talk

This guide is not a substitute for therapy. You can bring these questions to Jazmine without having a finished explanation.
